OG K Teacher Tips

It looks like I am officially the “Old Gal” at my school. I am 51 and have been at my school for 21 years. I have taught mostly kindergarten and have some simple and easy tips to share that might help you as you set up your classroom. Below is a discription of the items and I have pictures on my website. As I set up my classroom, I will post more pictures on my website to help if you need some ideas.

  • Seat pockets with spirals, decodeables, alphabet chart, file folder review activity, etc.

  • File folder activity with checklist to monitor who has completed the activity and where they need more support in their learning.

  • Tape and sticky clips are a must for cement walls

  • Rings for jumping to learn and assess.

  • Recycled bean cans with ductape are perfect pen/pencil cups!

  • Cafeteria pin number cards to practice number and wear to lunch.

  • Name tags with hundreds chart on the back.

  • Welcome back to school postcards start the year off right-also available on Amazon.
